Linnaea explained, “With small children half the battle is getting from point A to point B. The bike took so much of that out of that. Being able to keep my eyes on them and interact with them easily as we rode made for some of the sweetest moments of our trip. Our kids could sit with snacks, books, toys and be entertained while we moved at a pace that could get us somewhere, but also allow for stopping at a moments notice. We could roll right up to park and let them play or a café for a drink. Our son even napped in it! It was such a win, win!”

They flew home from and still rather high from the success of their family vacation, immediately started researching getting a Christiania of their own. They had visions of integrating Scandi-style into school drop off, grocery shopping, visits to the library and beach trips in the bike. At that time Christiania bikes were not available in the USA. There were lots of other cargo bikes, but the Christiania story, quality of the design, style and magic of their time together stuck with them.
They ordered their first batch of bikes and have been steadily selling Christiania’s ever since. They have sold Christiania bikes to people with kids (sometimes the furry kind) and companies who use the bikes in their work. Most recently they have been working to bring the taxi bike to retirement communities and tour groups so that people of all ages can enjoy a bike ride.
