A Sailboat, a Christiania Bike, and a Trip to the Harbor

Sometimes you just have to work with what you've got. Peter bought an old El Toro dingy that we named Mr. Nilsson (after the monkey in Pippi Longstocking of course). And we needed to get his boat down to the harbor, so naturally, he hooked up our Christiania bike to a Christiania trailer and rode it there.

The boat was strapped down, the mast was tied on top, and off he went with Olaf and I in our other bike making sure everything stayed on just fine! We got some waves and honks on our way! This is exactly what we love about Christiania bikes. They were designed to move the things that don't necessarily fit on a regular bike. Kids, groceries, merchandise, tools...and sailboats. No gas. No car. Just a bike, a trailer, and a slightly oversized load headed for the harbor.

Sometimes the simplest way to get something there is just to put it on a Christiania.
