Get Paid to Pedal: Up to $1,200 Back with GO BIKE!
We love a good reason to ride bikes. Sunshine? Yes. Parking downtown? No thanks. But now there’s a new reason to ride that’s actually hard to ignore: cold, hard cashback.
The GO BIKE! program from Santa Cruz County is handing out $300–$1,200 to folks who trade four wheels for two (or three—we see you, cargo bike people). That includes our very own Christiania cargo bikes, which qualify for the maximum rebate of $1,200. Cue happy dance.
So what’s the deal?
GO BIKE! wants to help more people choose clean, affordable transportation—and that means rewarding you for riding instead of driving.
Here’s what they’re offering:
-
🟢 $300 for a traditional (non-electric) bike
-
⚡️ $800 for a standard e-bike
-
🛺 $1,200 for a cargo or adaptive e-bike (hi there!)
-
🎟 Free BCycle membership ($245 value) for downtown Santa Cruz employees
If you've been eyeing a cargo bike for your family, your commute, or just because it's the most fun way to carry a watermelon—this is your moment.
Bonus points for organizations:
If you’re part of a community-serving organization (think schools, nonprofits, neighborhood groups), you might also qualify for e-bike lending fleet vouchers. Translation: more bikes, more access, more happy humans on wheels. Reach out to the RTC directly to see if you qualify.
