Kite-Flying Cargo Style: A Windy Day Beach Ride in Our Christiania Bike
There’s something about spring wind that demands one thing--kites.
We packed up our Christiania bike—kite, snacks, kid, and a couple extra “just in case” layers—and pedaled straight to the beach. It’s one of those trips that feels like a hassle in a car, but on a cargo bike? It’s an adventure before you even get there.
With blue skies above and a box full of joy (and slightly tangled string), we cruised down to the beach. The ride was breezy, the cargo box chatter was lively (“Why don’t kites have eyes?”), and the bike made schlepping gear to the sand feel almost… graceful.
Christiania bikes are built for exactly this kind of day: spontaneous, scenic, slightly chaotic in the best way. Whether you're hauling beach towels, beach snacks, or a small human with strong opinions about kite color, it all fits. No car seat battles, no parking panic—just easy, open-air fun.
Highly recommend: a windy day, your favorite co-pilot, and a kite that dances. Bonus points if your ride there is just as fun as the destination.
