One bike. Five thousand people. Infinite good vibes.

One bike. Five thousand people. Infinite good vibes.

What started as a pandemic workaround has officially dropped the bass—and the brakes. UK-based DJ Dom Whiting just hosted his largest bike rave to date, drawing more than 5,000 cyclists to the streets of Berlin for a rolling dance party powered by one beat-blasting Christiania bike.

Dubbed the DJ on a Bike, Dom has been reimagining live music since lockdown days, trading club walls for city streets and dance floors for bike lanes. His mobile DJ booth? A heavily customized Christiania cargo bike, outfitted with speakers, streaming gear, and enough drum-and-bass to get an entire city moving.

“The thought of having a moving background whilst DJ-ing is something you can’t buy,” Dom explained. And he’s right—you have to build it.

From welded metal mounts to sleepless nights perfecting his camera rig, Dom’s DIY determination is as impressive as his mixing skills. But it’s the community he’s built—cyclists, music lovers, and curious bystanders alike—that makes this so much more than a one-man show.

Berlin’s ride was a high point: an open-air, two-wheeled club winding its way through the city, blasting high-energy beats while riders in ravewear and everyday gear pedaled in sync. It was joyful, inclusive, and unforgettable. “Incredible scenes,” Dom wrote online. “YOU ARE THE BEST!”

We’ve always believed bikes have the power to transform the way we move—and now, thanks to creators like Dom, they’re transforming the way we party too.  So here’s to turning handlebars into DJ decks, cargo boxes into stages, and city streets into soundtracks. Thanks to Momentum Mag for sharing the story and follow Dom’s journey and catch the next ride.
